Main Street Condominiums

Main Street Condominiums is a mixed-use project that CADA developed with partner Kauri investments in 2000. Main Street offers 57 market rate condominiums over 3,750 square feet of commercial/retail space. This project was the first mixed-use project that CADA developed and its first partnership project with a private sector developer.

The development of this site was another effort to revitalize the 23rd & Jackson business corridor. The site of the Main Street project had previously been vacant for at least 20 years. CADA acquired the property and sought private real estate developers to assist in the site's development. The interest to develop in the Central Area from developers was dismal. Yet, Kauri Investments decide to pursue the challenge. Even during actual building construction, critics didn't believe that the project would be successful. To the surprise of many, CADA's and Kauri's Main Street project was completed as a success. Both the residential units and the commercial units were successfully and timely sold.

The Main Street units offer wonderful views, spacious units and quality construction. The building has underground parking for owners and their guests. The Main Street building additionally features art that has been incorporated into the structure. The art pays tribute to Jackson Street's history with the local jazz scene.

The commercial tenants of Main Street include WGM Jewelry. WGM Jewelry, a long time community business, own their business space. The remainder of the space owned by CADA and Kauri, is leased. This space is currently available for sale after six years of occupancy.
