Board

Thurston Muskelly, President
Thurston is a long-time Central Area resident and community activist.  A retired president of the American Federation of Government Employees, Thurston is certified in labor and law regulations.  He is president of the Leschi Community Council and several other community organizations.  Thurston joined the CADA Board in 2000.

Bill Zosel, Vice President
Bill is an active Central Area resident.  He is a member and former President of the Squire Park Community Council.  Bill is also a member of several other community organizations.  Bill maintained a 25-year career as an attorney focused on representing under-represented persons.  Bill joined the CADA Board in 2005.

Michelle Jones, Secretary
Michelle is a business entrepreneur and former Central Area resident.  Her range of work experience often reconnects her to the ties of the Central Area.  She previously worked for Community Capital Development, South East Effective Development and Seattle Housing Authority.   Michelle joined the Board in 2005.   

Rolanda Carriere
Rolanda is an Operations Supervisor for the City of Seattle’s Department of Neighborhoods.  She is also a licensed residential real estate broker with G.I.T.A Real Estate and is certified in construction management.  Rolanda is a former Central Area resident, but still maintains ties to the neighborhood.  Rolanda volunteered with CADA prior to joining the CADA Board in 2008.

Eudora Carter
Eudora is a health care professional and lives in the Central Area.  She is involved in numerous civic organizations that focus on health care.  Eudora has strong ties to the Central Area neighborhood.  She is the Chair of the Judkins Park Community Council.  Eudora joined the CADA Board in 2000.

Gretchen Hamm
Gretchen is a commercial real estate broker with CB Richard Ellis.  She resides in the Central Area and is active on the Colman Neighborhood Association.  Gretchen is also affiliated with two commercial real estate organizations.  Gretchen joined the CADA Board in 2006.

Denise Harnly
Denise has been a Central Area resident for 22 years.  She is strongly rooted in community activities.  Denise has 17 years experience working for a Central Area non profit that advocates community organization and safety.  She is also active on several community organizations, including the Madrona Community Council.  Denise joined the CADA Board in 2001.

Mattie Lynch
Mattie is a long time Central Area resident.  She is very active in the community and concerned with community issues.  Mattie was a CADA volunteer for several years prior to joining the CADA Board.  A retired business professional, Mattie joined the Board in 2000.

Tom Teicher
Tom is the Executive Director of Interaction Transition, a non profit social services agency.  He has held managerial positions in the public, private and non-profit sectors.  He is active on the advisory boards for three social service and educational programs.  Tom joined the CADA Board in 2006.

Jean Tinnea
Jean is a commercial property and business owner in the Central Area.  She is also a Central Area resident.  Jean is actively involved with the Central Area Neighborhood Association, the Union Street Business Group and the Central Area garden club, Garden Central.  Jean joined the CADA Board in 2004.

Jim Thomas
Jim Thomas is the Chief Executive Officer of Community Capital Development (CCD).  CCD is a community development financial institution serving the Puget Sound Region.  With its head office in the Central Area, Jim has aided the community with strong entrepreneurial and financial resources.  Jim’s career spans over 20 years in working with major corporate and community based financial institutions.  Jim was a member of the CADA Board in 1994.  Jim re-joined the CADA Board in 2008.   

Charlotte Wingo
Charlotte is an Administrative Manager for an Eastside engineering firm.  She was raised in the Central Area and is a resident in the neighborhood.  Charlotte is active in many civic causes and is the former president of the Judkins Park Community Council.  Charlotte joined the CADA Board in 1996.

 Staff

George M. Staggers, Chief Executive Officer
George plays a key role in navigating the direction of CADA.  He has been the Chief Executive Officer of CADA since its inception in 1994.  George’s responsibilities include ensuring that CADA meets the objectives of its mission and overall organizational management.  George holds a Bachelor’s degree from Central Washington University and has 20 years work experience in the financial industry.  George grew up within blocks of the CADA office.  George is an active board member for Community Capital Development, First Place School and Seattle Neighborhood Group. 

Tricia Baran, CPA, Controller
Tricia is a Certified Public Accountant.  She is also CADA’s Controller and manages all financial aspects of CADA and its subsidiaries.  Tricia’s responsibilities include managing day to day financial operations, contract compliance and reviewing project and program financial feasibilities.  She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and a minor in Business Administration from Western Washington University.  Tricia has strong work history experiences in financial auditing and property management accounting.

Erica Porter, Program Administrator
Erica is CADA’s Program Administrator.  Her responsibilities include managing CADA’s community programs, grant writing and corporate communications.  Erica also assists with property management and real estate development projects.  She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a Washington State real estate license.
